**Human Resources Generalist- Employee Relations** **On-site: Los Angeles, 90022** **Employment Type:** Contract Role **Compensation:** $38 to $48 per hour **Position Overview** We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist with a strong employee relations background to join our HR team. This role will serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, corrective actions, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, and termination processes. The ideal candidate is confident navigating sensitive situations, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities * Serve as a primary HR resource for managers and employees regarding employee relations concerns, workplace policies, and HR best practices. * Conduct and support employee relations investigations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions. * Partner with leadership to manage performance improvement plans (PIPs), performance reviews, coaching conversations, and corrective action processes. * Advise managers on employee performance issues, conflict resolution, attendance concerns, and policy violations. * Prepare and review written warnings, disciplinary documentation, performance counseling records, and termination paperwork. * Conduct termination meetings and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws. * Support full-cycle employee relations activities while minimizing organizational risk and maintaining consistency. * Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement initiatives, and HR programs as needed. * Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. * Partner with leadership to drive employee retention, engagement, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. * Support leave administration, benefits administration, and other general HR functions as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. * 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience required. * Strong employee relations experience, including workplace investigations, performance management, corrective actions, and terminations. * Experience coaching managers on performance issues and employee relations matters. * Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices. * Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee information. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities. * Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications * PHR, SHRM-CP, or related certification preferred. * Experience supporting multi-site or high-volume environments. * Background in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, healthcare, retail, or similar operational environments is a plus. **Target Profile:** We are looking for an HR professional who thrives in employee relations, is comfortable having difficult conversations, can confidently guide managers through performance management processes, and has hands-on experience conducting corrective actions and terminations while maintaining professionalism, consistency, and compliance. **Benefit offerings:**include medical, dental, vision, additional voluntary benefits, 401K plan.
