Martin Painting \& Coating Co. is hiring a Shop Painter to perform painting and coating work in a controlled shop environment. This position focuses on preparing surfaces, applying coatings, completing detail work, and maintaining organized work areas. Key Responsibilities Prepare items and surfaces before painting. Scrape, sand, clean, and prepare surfaces as required. Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and approved equipment. Complete touch-ups and detail work. Mask areas that should remain unpainted. Prepare materials and equipment for painting activities. Maintain painting tools and equipment. Keep the shop and assigned work areas organized. Assist with material handling and cleanup. Follow project specifications and safety requirements. Maintain a clean and professional work environment. Qualifications Previous painting, shop, construction, or related experience preferred. Experience with commercial or industrial painting is a plus. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to perform physically demanding work. Attention to detail and quality. Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance. Reliable transportation required. Smartphone required for timesheets and communication. Availability to work at least two weekends per month. Dependable and safety-conscious.
