Martin Painting \& Coating Co. is seeking a Commercial Surface Finisher to help prepare and finish surfaces on commercial painting projects. This position requires attention to detail and focuses on achieving clean, properly finished surfaces. Key Responsibilities Prepare commercial surfaces for finishing and painting. Sand, scrape, clean, and smooth assigned surfaces. Perform detailed preparation before coating application. Apply paint and coatings using brushes and rollers. Complete touch-ups and final detail work. Mask and protect surrounding areas. Check finished work and identify areas requiring additional attention. Maintain tools and equipment. Keep jobsites organized and clean. Assist with project setup and cleanup. Follow safety procedures and jobsite standards. Work from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding when required. Qualifications Previous commercial painting, construction, or finishing experience preferred. Experience with surface finishing or repainting is a plus. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail. Ability to perform physically demanding work. Comfortable working at heights. Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance. Reliable transportation required. Smartphone required for timesheets and communication. Availability to work at least two weekends per month. Dependable and safety-conscious.
