Industrial Maintenance Electrician -- PLC \& High-Voltage Troubleshooting ========================================================================= \*\*Location: \*\*Apple Grove, WV **Hire Type:** Full Time Job Overview - ----------- We are seeking experienced Industrial Electricians to support commissioning and startup at a state-of-the-art steel manufacturing facility. This is an opportunity to work with advanced automation, complex electrical systems, and cutting-edge manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on troubleshooter who can work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and perform both electrical and mechanical repairs. Key Responsibilities - ------------------- * Troubleshoot and edit existing Siemens S7 PLC logic. * Diagnose high-voltage systems, including 480V, 4,160V, 13.5kV, and 345kV equipment. * Troubleshoot and configure VFDs, including ABB, Siemens, and WEG. * Diagnose PLC-to-VFD communication and speed-reference issues. * Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics. * Perform complete motor replacements, including mechanical installation and electrical connections. * Support equipment commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting. * Work closely with operators to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability. Required Qualifications - ---------------------- * Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience. * Hands-on PLC experience, preferably Siemens S7, including logic edits. * Experience with high-voltage electrical systems above 480V. * Strong VFD troubleshooting and configuration skills. * Mechanical aptitude and experience replacing motors and industrial equipment. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. **Preferred:** Experience with multiple PLC platforms, heavy manufacturing, commissioning, and formal electrical training or apprenticeship.
