Desktop Technician Overview: Research, design, develop, and test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. Responsible for supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. Responsibilities: - Help to setup and monitor data closet equipment including servers and UPS - Monitor and report on general site health status including data closet equipment, servers, network, and clients - Assist with the running of cables and provide guidance to local team on cable runs and termination - Escort vendors within the site so they can do maintenance tasks on data closet systems - Assist the site lead with server operations as needed - Set up new servers and clients according to documented processes - Perform standard maintenance tasks on clients and servers including patches, agent install, and incident troubleshooting - Maintain and document all network IDF changes and port mappings - Collaborate with the plant staff to foster open communication and ensure all devices on site are used in accordance with IT best practices * \*\*Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.\*\* * \*\*Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client's business needs and requirements.\*\* **Benefits: For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
