Akkodis is seeking an **Assistant Project Manager (APM)** for a **Contract** position with a client in **Georgia, GA** . The APM will support project managers on projects of varying complexity and may independently manage smaller, less complex assignments. **Rate Range:** **$60/hour to $61/hour** on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. **Assistant Project Manager Job Responsibilities Include** * Support the Project Management team in developing RFP packages, administering the bid and contractor selection process, and preparing detailed scopes of work for downstream contracts. * Manage contractor submittals, RFIs, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs. * Verify contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management programs. * Execute contract administration functions, including change order management, field change directives, invoicing approvals, and schedule oversight. * Support project controls activities such as cost reporting, scheduling, WBS development, project setup/closeout, and field progress tracking. * Assist with development of internal and external reports (project budgets, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and status updates). * Participate in internal/external project risk reviews and coordinate with the Legal Department where needed. * Manage contract closeout requirements and ensure project documentation completion. * Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all corporate policies and standards. **Desired Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program (required). * Minimum 5 years of applicable, professional experience (internships do not count toward required experience). * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. * Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment and work overtime on short notice. * High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to collaborate effectively with owners, contractors, project managers, engineers, and designers within a multi‑discipline team environment. * Experience with Primavera Contract Manager or similar change management software preferred.
