This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites that align with brand standards, user experience best practices, and business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in WordPress development, front-end and back-end programming, performance optimization, and security best practices. This position requires collaboration with designers, marketers, and content teams to deliver responsive, conversion-focused digital experiences. Key Responsibilities * Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch * Customize existing themes and plugins to meet project requirements * Convert design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) into fully functional WordPress sites * Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-friendly, and cross-browser compatible * Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and performance * Implement technical SEO best practices * Manage site migrations, backups, and updates * Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner * Maintain website security and implement best practices * Integrate third-party APIs and tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics, etc.) * Collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve user experience and conversion rates * Document development processes and maintain organized code repositories Required Qualifications * 2 years of experience developing WordPress websites * Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript * Experience building custom themes and plugins * Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi etc.) * Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) * Understanding of MySQL databases * Knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization * Experience with Git/version control * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills * Excellent attention to detail Preferred Qualifications * Experience with WooCommerce * Familiarity with headless WordPress * Knowledge of React or modern JavaScript frameworks * Experience working in an agency environment * Understanding of ADA compliance and accessibility standards
