We are seeking a **Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician** to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and those eager to build hands-on skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. ### Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: * **Animal Care \& Patient Support** * Assist with safely handling and restraining animals during exams and procedures * Provide basic care including feeding, bathing, and exercising patients * Administer medications as directed by veterinarians * Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the medical team * **Facility Maintenance \& Safety** * Clean and sanitize kennels, exam rooms, and treatment areas * Sterilize and maintain surgical and medical instruments * Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff * **Client Service \& Communication** * Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out * Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls/inquiries * Educate clients on basic pet care, medications, and treatment plans * Relay important information between clients and veterinary staff * **Administrative \& Operational Support** * Maintain accurate patient records and update medical files * Assist with billing, invoicing, and financial transactions * Monitor inventory levels and help order supplies as needed * **Laboratory \& Diagnostic Assistance** * Collect and prepare laboratory samples * Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and blood draws * Support veterinarians during exams and treatments * **Emergency \& Critical Care Support** * Assist during emergency situations and urgent care procedures * Follow established protocols to support patient stabilization and treatment * **Professional Development** * Stay current on veterinary best practices and procedures * Participate in ongoing training and continuing education opportunities ### Skills Knowledge and Expertise * Previous veterinary experience preferred but not required * Veterinary Assistant certification or Veterinary Technician licensure is a plus * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment * Compassionate approach to patient care and client service ### Benefits * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * Vision insurance * Employee discounts * Flexible schedules * 401K with company match * Career development and training
