**Title: Scientist I (Chemistry)** **Location: Sunnyvale, CA** **Duration: 12 months (possible extension)** **Pay: $32--$35/hr** **Summary:** Scientist I will support manufacturing sciences by synthesizing functionalized resins used in HPLC column production. The role involves polymer chemistry processes, analytical testing, and collaboration across teams. **Responsibilities:** * Synthesize raw and functionalized resins using established protocols * Perform polymer chemistry techniques (ATRP, grafting, polymerization) * Conduct analytical testing and interpret HPLC/UPLC, GC-MS data * Monitor production issues and implement improvements * Collaborate with R\&D, process development, and production teams * Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry * 0--1 year manufacturing/lab experience * Knowledge of polymer \& analytical chemistry * Experience with chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) * Ability to analyze resin properties (size distribution, surface area) * Familiar with MS Office and quality standards (ISO9001 preferred)
