Requirements - ----------- ### Must have: ### - We require a PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. - We require 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, including large language models and natural language processing. - We require 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, classical machine learning methods, and deep learning, including frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. - We require a demonstrated publication history in leading ML/NLP conferences or journals. - Preferred experience includes LLM frameworks and NLP methods such as text embeddings and text classification. - Preferred experience includes distributed computing tools such as Spark. - Preferred experience includes Snowflake and other relational databases. - Preferred experience includes working on collaborative software projects using GitHub. - Preferred candidates bring strong technical communication skills. Responsibilities: - ---------------- - We develop innovative AI solutions for healthcare using both structured and unstructured data. - We build and evaluate deep learning and traditional machine learning models in distributed computing environments. - We design experiments, perform statistical analysis, and create data visualizations. - We communicate results to business stakeholders and partner with them to build solutions that meet customer needs. - We work with the Responsible Use of AI team to ensure our solutions align with company policies and standards. - We create code, model documentation, patents, and publications for scientific conferences and journals. - We collaborate with engineering teams to build resilient data pipelines and MLOps processes for new solutions. - We stay current on emerging technologies and the latest research literature. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company: - ------- We are Optum Tech, a global leader in health care innovation, and our teams build advanced solutions that help people live healthier lives and improve how the health system works for everyone. We offer the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with a hybrid office requirement of at least four days per week for hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area.
