**JavaScript Engineer (AI Training)** **About The Role** What if your JavaScript expertise could directly influence how AI writes code for millions of developers around the world? We're looking for experienced JavaScript Engineers to evaluate and improve AI-generated code --- ensuring it's correct, efficient, and written to the standards real engineers actually care about. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working developers. You'll bring your real-world JS experience to one of the most impactful applications in tech right now: training the AI systems that are reshaping how software gets built. * Organization: Alignerr * Type: Hourly Contract * Location: Remote * Commitment: 10--40 hours/week **What You'll Do** * Review and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript code for correctness, efficiency, and adherence to modern ES6+ standards * Write high-quality JavaScript solutions across a range of difficulty levels --- from everyday utility functions to complex async logic * Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI-generated web and backend code * Craft clear, human-readable explanations of code logic and problem-solving approaches * Provide structured, detailed feedback that helps AI models produce better, more reliable code * Work independently and asynchronously --- fully on your own schedule **Who You Are** * Deep familiarity with core JavaScript concepts --- async/await, closures, prototypal inheritance, DOM manipulation, and more * 3+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Vue * Strong instincts for clean, readable, maintainable code --- you know the difference between code that works and code that's well written * Naturally detail-oriented with a methodical approach to evaluating quality * Able to articulate technical reasoning clearly in writing * A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but demonstrated experience matters most **Nice to Have** * Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training workflows * Familiarity with TypeScript or modern JavaScript toolchains (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, etc.) * Background in code review, technical writing, or software quality assurance * Experience working across both frontend and backend JavaScript environments **Why Join Us** * Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams * Fully remote and flexible --- work when and where it suits you * Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work * Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and generates code used by developers worldwide * Training and onboarding support provided --- no prior AI experience necessary * Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
