**Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training)** **About The Role** We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems --- and we need practitioners who truly understand how cloud environments fail in the real world. As a Cloud Security Analyst, you'll analyze real-world cloud security scenarios, identify failure patterns, and help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on cloud infrastructure security. Your hands-on expertise will directly shape how the next generation of AI reasons about cloud risk. * Organization: Alignerr * Type: Hourly Contract * Location: Remote * Commitment: 10--40 hours/week **What You'll Do** * Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, misconfigurations, and failure patterns * Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues in realistic contexts * Classify security gaps and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact and blast radius * Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold * Provide structured, expert feedback that helps frontier AI models think like a seasoned cloud security practitioner **Who You Are** * 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production * Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts * Familiar with real-world misconfigurations, incident patterns, and their downstream consequences * Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact * Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments **Nice to Have** * Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Azure Defender) * Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or cloud incident response * Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or the Cloud Security Alliance guidelines * Prior experience contributing to AI training or evaluation projects **Why Join Us** * Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs * Fully remote and flexible --- work on your own schedule * Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration * Make a meaningful impact on how AI understands and reasons about real-world cloud security * Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
