**Job Title: Chief Financial Officer** **Location: Tallahassee, FL** **Position Type: Full Time** **Annual Bonus Potential: 20%** **Relocation: Partial relocation assistance available (up to approximately $5,000)** **Travel Required** **Position Summary** As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives * Ensure credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts * Take a hands-on lead position in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system * Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance \& Accounting functions of the organization * Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action * Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and provide a full range of business solutions * Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities * Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the company * Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities * Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting **Leadership \& Reporting Structure** This is a meaningful leadership role with responsibility for several key areas of the organization. **Direct reports:** * VP of Accounting/Finance * Fleet Manager **Indirect reports (approximately 7):** * Four salaried exempt employees (three on-site, one hybrid) * One full-time non-exempt employee (on-site) * Two part-time employees (off-site) Candidates should be comfortable leading both financial and operational functions and managing through other leaders. We are a young, rapidly growing company seeking a candidate with 10+ years of experience who is early enough in their career to grow with the organization long-term. Current CFOs are welcome to apply, particularly from organizations of similar size and complexity. Strong "step-up" candidates ready for their first CFO role are also encouraged to apply --- the title held is less important than the actual scope of responsibility. Relevant backgrounds may include: VP of Finance, VP of Accounting/Finance, Corporate Controller with broad financial leadership responsibility, or a senior finance executive with responsibility beyond traditional accounting. Industry experience is not required --- strong candidates from other industries are encouraged to apply as long as they bring the financial, operational, leadership, and strategic skills the role demands. Qualifications and Requirements * BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA highly desirable * 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles Personal Attributes * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations * Strong problem-solving and creative skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis * High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation Other Skills \& Abilities * PC proficiency (Windows environment) essential * Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Salesforce
