This role involves building and maintaining client-branded web properties, delivering new features, and ensuring high standards of code quality and site performance. You will utilize AI tools to facilitate and speed up development processes. Key Responsibilities ● Maintain and improve WordPress site features using JavaScript and PHP. ● Create and modify WordPress plugins and themes, including bug fixes and updates. ● Partner with various stakeholders to turn requirements into robust technical solutions. ● Enhance site responsiveness, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues. ● Engage in code reviews and documentation while adhering to secure coding standards. ● Implement an AI-first development workflow using modern toolsets. Minimum Requirements ● Proven track record of developing WordPress sites or applications with PHP and JavaScript. ● Direct experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up. ● Proficiency in HTML/CSS and knowledge of web best practices regarding accessibility and maintainability. ● Familiarity with WordPress architecture, including hooks, PHP APIs, the block editor, and REST API. ● Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage tasks independently in high-pressure environments. ● Clear communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
