**Overview:** AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test \& Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering \& Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities: * Work with the technical implementation teams to understand the product document requirements. * Create and edit high-quality technical documentation for mobile applications, including software and system architecture, design, and product requirements. * Assist in the creation and submission of documentation required for compliance with our Quality Management System. * Assist in establishing and continuously improving the standardization and simplification of technical writing processes, procedures, and style guidelines. * Contribute to documentation development lifecycle improvements * Convert legacy/previous formatting to latest formatting/style guidelines. * Create documentation based on standardized templates. * Analyze and edit content to maintain continuity of style and content. * Assess the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended. * Conduct document reviews and collect input from stakeholders. * Create data flow diagrams, component diagrams, and similar technical illustrations. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering * Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. * U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance * At least 5 (five) years of experience in:Writing technical reports, analyzing technical literature, writing descriptive copy, and verifying documentation with appropriate sources.Ability to use various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, ADOBE CC, HTML, and XML.S1000D specification for the production of technical publications. Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $74,800.00/Yr. - USD $124,900.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
