**Location:** Seal Beach, CA **Salary:** $54.00 USD Hourly - $55.00 USD Hourly **Description:** Our client is currently seeking a Systems Engineer 2 **Job Code: Systems Engineer 2** **Work Location: Seal Beach, CA** **Shifts: 1st shift** **Requested Security Clearance: TS-SCI with adjudicated polygraph Counterintelligence (CI)** **Position Responsibilities:** Apply modern DevSecOps practices (including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code) to streamline integration and test activities Stand up, configure, and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes, incorporating automation, metrics, and lessons learned to increase efficiency and reliability Automate, develop, monitor, improve, and troubleshoot across software engineering development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and traceability Interface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers **Required Skills:** Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship 2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with Python programming language Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline and tools Experience with JIRA and Confluence **Preferred Skills:** Experience with Linux Experience with Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript/React, database, and mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) Experience working with Government customers Active CompTIA Security certification **Education / Experience:** Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification.
