Sr Credit Analyst (Commercial Real Estate) Banking

**Overview** A well-established financial institution is seeking a **Senior Credit Analyst -- Commercial Real Estate (CRE)** to support complex underwriting and credit risk evaluation across the full lifecycle of CRE transactions. This role plays a key part in credit decisioning, portfolio quality, and alignment with regulatory and internal credit policy standards. The position operates with a high degree of independence and regularly supports senior credit leadership, including participation in Credit Committee presentations. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform comprehensive credit analysis and underwriting for complex CRE transactions, including acquisitions, construction, repositioning, lease-up, and stabilized assets * Prepare and present detailed Credit Approval Memorandums (CAMs) for Credit Committee review * Analyze borrower and guarantor financials, tax returns, global cash flows, and contingent liabilities * Evaluate property-level performance metrics including NOI, DSCR, Debt Yield, LTV, and stress-tested scenarios * Build and review financial models, including pro forma cash flows, lease-up assumptions, and refinance analyses * Assess collateral values, market rent studies, and competitive market conditions * Review lien positions and confirm collateral priority through county and state records * Propose risk mitigants such as reserves, guarantees, and structural enhancements * Ensure transactions comply with internal credit policy, OCC guidance, and regulatory expectations * Support relationship managers in structuring loan terms, covenants, and amortization schedules **Required Experience \& Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred) * 5 years of progressive CRE credit analysis and underwriting experience (6 preferred) * Hands-on experience across the full CRE transaction lifecycle * Exposure to multiple property types (multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hospitality, etc.) * Strong experience with sponsor/guarantor analysis and global cash flow evaluation * Proven experience preparing credit approval packages and presenting to Credit Committee * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
