**Location:** Irving, TX **Salary:** $40.00 USD Hourly - $43.00 USD Hourly **Description:** **Software Engineer\| Full Stack Java** **We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.** **Locations:** Irving, TX or Chandler, AZ **Primary Irving Location:** 401 Las Colinas Blvd W, Building A, Irving, TX **Line of Business:** TCOO **Contract Duration:** 18 months, with potential for extension or conversion **Work Arrangement:** Hybrid, **3 days per week onsite required** **Openings:** 1 **About the Role** We are seeking a **Software Engineer / Full Stack Java Developer** to join a team responsible for a suite of applications supporting Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) and transaction monitoring. In this role, you will contribute to the maintenance, modernization, and consolidation of five existing applications into a more unified platform. You will work across the technology stack, with a strong focus on **Java, Spring Boot, and React** , while contributing to REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native development, and data processing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who learns quickly, works effectively with distributed Agile teams, and is comfortable contributing to both existing applications and modernization efforts. **What You'll Do** * Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using **Java, Spring Boot, and React.js**. * Build and support **REST APIs and microservices** for enterprise applications. * Maintain and enhance existing applications while supporting efforts to consolidate multiple applications into a unified solution. * Help stabilize and modernize front-end applications using **React and modern JavaScript frameworks**. * Apply software design patterns, secure coding practices, and application performance optimization techniques. * Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and ongoing application improvements. * Work with **Python** for automation, scripting, data processing, and related development initiatives. * Contribute to data pipeline development and processing using technologies such as **Python and Apache Spark**. * Support cloud-native application development, with exposure to **Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)** preferred. * Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams in an **Agile/Scrum environment**. * Research and evaluate technical solutions and recommend approaches for low-to-moderately complex engineering challenges. * Identify opportunities to improve development processes, application stability, maintainability, and performance. * Leverage modern developer productivity and AI-assisted development tools, including **GitHub Copilot**. * Follow applicable technology, security, compliance, and development standards. **Minimum Qualifications** * **2 years of Software Engineering experience**, demonstrated through a combination of professional experience, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. * **2 years of hands-on Java development experience**. * Experience developing applications with **Spring/Spring Boot**. * Hands-on experience with **React.js** or a comparable modern front-end framework such as Angular. * Experience developing and consuming **REST APIs**. * Experience working with **microservices architectures**. * Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented development principles. * Understanding of **secure coding practices** and application performance optimization. * Working knowledge of **Python**, including its use in scripting, automation, or data processing. * Experience working in **Agile/Scrum environments** with cross-functional or distributed teams. * Ability to work onsite **3 days per week** at the assigned Irving, TX or Chandler, AZ location. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with **Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)** or another major cloud platform. * Experience developing **cloud-native applications**. * Experience with **Kubernetes and/or OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)**. * Experience with **Apache Spark** and data pipelines. * Exposure to **AI/ML technologies or AI-assisted software development tools**. * Experience with **GitHub Copilot** or similar AI development tools. * Experience supporting application modernization, migration, or consolidation initiatives. **Financial services experience is not required.** **What We're Looking For** Successful candidates will be: * Strong problem solvers with solid software engineering fundamentals. * Comfortable working across both back-end and front-end technologies. * Quick learners who are open to developing new cloud, data, and AI-related skills. * Collaborative and effective in cross-functional team environments. * Able to work independently while knowing when to engage teammates for input. * Adaptable and comfortable supporting both existing applications and modernization projects. * Committed to the required hybrid work schedule. **Work Environment** * **Hybrid:** 3 days per week onsite is mandatory. * **Overtime:** Not expected. * **After-hours releases:** Participation in off-hours release calls is not expected. * **Contract:** 18 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion. **Internal / Supplier Notes \| Do Not Include in Public Job Posting** * Position is a **backfill**. * All candidate resumes **must be submitted through Beeline** to be considered. * **Suppliers should not contact or solicit the hiring/reporting manager while the position is active.** * Do not submit resumes outside of the approved Beeline process. * Primary skill priorities: 1.
