Requirements - ----------- ### Must have: ### - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain, with five years of relevant experience in Warehousing, Transportation, or Manufacturing; or a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management with three years of experience (undergraduate degree in Engineering required if holding an MBA). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. - Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (e.g., SQL, DAX) is preferred. - Experience in developing Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, and Management Accountability Systems; knowledge of Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen is required. - Intermediate understanding of core engineering and data analysis functions (e.g., slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, metrics). - Knowledge of warehouse design tools such as CAD (AutoCAD), slotting tools (Slot3D), and Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan Scale) is preferred. - Familiarity with material handling solutions and automation types, including powered industrial truck applications and conveyor systems. - Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks, as well as various equipment types (e.g., dry van, temperature control). - Understanding of transportation design tools (e.g., JDA, Llamasoft) and Transportation Management Systems (e.g., OTM) is preferred. - Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, cPMP, ISO/QMS, or other APICS and/or Supply Chain Logistics certifications are preferred. Responsibilities: - ---------------- - Support the Ryder Continuous Improvement culture by actively applying CI methods to enhance our operations. - Collect and analyze data while documenting processes to identify gaps, recommend, and implement improvements. - Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement plan to drive value and enhance key business metrics including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development. - Manage and complete CI projects resulting in improved business performance, including supporting go-live and certifications. - Identify and advocate for automation projects while regularly interacting with operations management and customers. - Demonstrate proficiency in various engineering methods and lean tools, and coach employees on CI and Quality Assurance principles. - Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events, ensuring execution throughout all phases, and coach process owners in lean methodologies. - Provide regular updates and reports on site objectives and recommend strategies for inventory and supply chain improvements. - Design, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) according to industry standards. - Support compliance with regulatory and certification requirements, and perform all Quality Assurance functions related to startup or expansion. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company: - ------- We are Ryder, a company dedicated to promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout our operations.
