This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow with a company that has clear focus and purpose. **Competencies \& Characteristics** * Senior leader with a reputation for integrity, hard work, and strong personal values * Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams across multiple concurrent projects * Humble, hungry, and sharp --- leads by example at every level of the organization * Lifelong learner with the aptitude and passion to develop others * Strategic thinker who consistently prioritizes the big picture and long-term outcomes * Can be trusted to hold themselves and their teams accountable and to do the right thing even when no one is looking * Quick to take ownership and slow to assign blame --- sets the tone for the entire project organization * Skilled at identifying root causes and driving permanent, systemic solutions across projects and teams * Maintains a composed and professional presence under high-pressure, high-stakes conditions * Optimistically drives solutions at the executive level and inspires the same in others * Responds with strategic clarity rather than reacting emotionally * Can expertly interpret plans, specifications, and code across diverse project types * Champions organizational process and protocol, and ensures teams follow suit * Holds a deep understanding of and unwavering commitment to quality workmanship * Manages time and organizational priorities with exceptional discipline and urgency * Communicates persuasively and clearly at the executive, client, and trade level * Leads a portfolio of complex assignments with precision and strategic intent **Essential Functions \& Abilities** * Provide executive-level leadership across multiple project teams, challenging and supporting all internal and external members * Cultivate a culture of accountability, toughness, and deep trust across the full project portfolio * Actively mentor and develop project managers and project engineers, building the next generation of leaders * Maintain executive-level understanding of all project scopes, building processes, and systems * Oversee and guide risk management functions across projects, including contract strategy, subcontract review, and insurance programs * Provide executive oversight of cost control functions across the portfolio, including change management, billings, forecasting, and budgeting * Review and approve monthly progress reports and executive summaries for ownership and leadership * Partner with superintendents and project managers to ensure construction schedules are current and proactively communicated to owners and stakeholders * Set organizational priorities and delegate critical items effectively across project teams * Accountable for the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects and for building enduring client relationships that drive repeat business and growth **Knowledge And Skills** * Risk Management --- Executive-level expertise in contracts, insurance, risk allocation, and project-wide deliverable management * Cost Control --- Portfolio-level ownership of estimating, budgeting, forecasting, change management, and billings across multiple projects * Building Fundamentals --- Deep experience in commercial construction means and methods; strong plan reading and execution of complex project controls * Safety --- Demonstrated executive leadership in safety culture; able to identify hazards, implement solutions, and drive a company-wide commitment to jobsite safety * Business Development --- Experience cultivating client relationships, supporting pursuits, and contributing to the growth of the company's project pipeline **Education / Experience Required** * A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a project manager or senior project manager role * Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large, complex commercial projects * Experience in Health Care (OSHPD), Life Sciences, Higher Education, and Office Improvements strongly preferred * Bachelor's degree preferred but not required * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Project * Exceptional interpersonal skills --- a proven relationship-builder with clients, internal teams, and trade contractors We exist to improve the construction project environment by inspiring people to build together.
