**About the job...** We are seeking a **Mechanical Design Engineer** to support the design, development, and production of custom mechanical systems. In this role, you will translate engineering concepts into detailed shop-ready drawings and collaborate across engineering and manufacturing to deliver high‑quality solutions. This position is well‑suited for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys hands‑on design work and solving complex technical problems. ***Key Responsibilities:*** * Create **detailed production drawings** including assembly drawings, machined components, and weldment assemblies * Research, plan, and design **mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic systems** * Apply established **engineering, drafting, and design standards** to all deliverables * Design and integrate **electric and hydraulic drive systems** using sound machine design principles * Ensure drawings and designs meet **manufacturing, quality, and performance requirements** * Communicate effectively with engineering, production, and cross‑functional teams through clear written and verbal communication ***Qualifications:*** * B.S. in **Mechanical Engineering required.** * **3--7 years** of experience required * Proficiency in **SolidWorks** * Strong knowledge of **machine design, weldments, and tolerances** * Understanding of **materials and engineering fundamentals** * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines **Nice to Have** * **Hydraulic power unit design** experience * ERP experience (**NetSuite preferred**) * Manufacturing or custom equipment background
