Lead Cannabis Advisor -- Simply Pure Trenton (Experienced Candidates Only) Simply Pure Trenton is seeking a high-performing, experienced Lead Cannabis Advisor to lead from the floor and elevate the customer experience at one of New Jersey's first Black-owned, social equity dispensaries. Founded by Trenton native Tahir Johnson, Simply Pure is built on community, education, and ownership. We are not looking for someone to learn cannabis retail---we're looking for someone who already understands it and is ready to lead, coach, and execute at a high level from day one. This role is for experienced cannabis professionals only. Candidates without direct cannabis retail experience will not be considered. What You'll Do Take ownership of the sales floor and lead by example at all times Deliver expert-level cannabis guidance tailored to customer needs and desired outcomes Coach and develop team members to meet Simply Pure's standards for service and compliance Ensure flawless execution of POS, order fulfillment, and packaging Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and audit-ready environment Enforce SOPs and compliance standards without exception Build long-term customer relationships that drive loyalty, referrals, and repeat business What We're Looking For Required: Direct cannabis dispensary experience (minimum 1--2 years) Required: Proven success in a high-volume retail environment Preferred: Previous leadership, keyholder, or supervisory experience Strong, working knowledge of cannabis products, effects, and customer use cases Ability to confidently educate customers and guide purchasing decisions Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example Must have flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays) Who This Role Is NOT For Candidates without cannabis dispensary experience Individuals looking for entry-level or training roles Applicants without flexible availability Those uncomfortable working in a compliance-driven retail environment Why Simply Pure Join a mission-driven, Black-owned cannabis business rooted in community impact Work in an environment that values accountability, culture, and growth Opportunity to step into higher leadership roles as the company expands Be part of a team setting the standard for cannabis retail in Trenton If you're an experienced cannabis professional ready to lead from the front, apply now. **Salary** $20 - $22 USD per hour **Required Skills** * Minimum 21 years of age (or as required by state regulations) * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Required: 1--2 years of cannabis dispensary experience * Required: 2 years of customer service experience in retail or hospitality * Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional, consistent customer service in a fast-paced environment * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and build trust with customers * Proven ability to resolve customer issues calmly, professionally, and efficiently * High level of attention to detail, especially in compliance-driven environments * Intermediate math skills and confidence handling cash/POS transactions * Strong computer proficiency (POS systems, order management, etc.) * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead by example on a busy sales floor * Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a retail setting * Flexible availability required (nights, weekends, holidays) * Personal familiarity with cannabis products and effects strongly preferred **Desired Skills** * Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess sales trends, customer needs, and operational performance * Proven ability to accurately manage cash handling and POS systems in a high-volume environment * Prior experience training and onboarding new team members * Experience as a key holder or in a leadership role within a retail environment * Working knowledge of New Jersey cannabis regulations and compliance standards * 3--5 years of retail or hospitality experience (cannabis retail strongly preferred) * Ability to support daily operations, problem-solve in real time, and maintain composure under pressure **About SIMPLY PURE TRENTON NJ INC** **About Simply Pure Trenton** **Simply Pure Trenton is redefining the cannabis retail experience through a commitment to education, inclusion, and social impact.
