**About the role** We are hiring an SDE II, iOS for a leading Indian consumer commerce platform. The app serves tens of millions of users across food delivery, quick commerce groceries and dining, in 500+ cities. This is an ownership role. You will architect features that scale, drive performance work end to end, and set the quality bar for the code around you. **What you will do** * Partner with cross-functional teams to make the app more scalable and robust, and architect solutions that promote reuse across surfaces * Write clean, maintainable Swift and SwiftUI, shipping features, enhancements and fixes on schedule * Build and run unit and integration test coverage, including automated testing frameworks * Identify and fix performance bottlenecks. Profile for speed, responsiveness and memory, and hold that bar through code review * Write design docs, API specs and release notes so architecture decisions survive beyond you * Work with product managers and designers to convert requirements into technical solutions, and take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and retros * Stay current on the iOS ecosystem and push improvements to coding standards and dev process **What we are looking for** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field * 3+ years of professional iOS development with production apps live on the App Store * Strong Swift proficiency, with SwiftUI experience expected * Solid command of the iOS SDK, Xcode and the surrounding tooling * Hands-on with iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, VIPER or Clean, with a clear rationale for the choices made * Strong grasp of software design principles and best practices * Experience consuming RESTful APIs with JSON or Protobuf payloads * Comfortable with Git and CI tooling such as Jenkins, Bitrise or Fastlane * Sharp debugging instincts, strong communication, and the ability to move in a fast-changing environment **Good to have** * Hands-on Kotlin Multiplatform experience * Build time and app launch optimisation in Xcode * Multi-layer caching strategy * Accessibility engineering on a consumer app * Combine, async/await, and modularisation of a large codebase
