Overview We're seeking experienced Infusion Market Subject Matter Experts to join our network of advisors and support project-based consulting engagements. These opportunities are ideal for healthcare professionals who bring firsthand experience building, operating, and improving infusion businesses and can translate that experience into practical recommendations. We welcome expertise across home infusion, ambulatory infusion centers, physician office infusion, hospital outpatient infusion, and specialty pharmacy operations supporting infusion services. Relevant expertise may span business strategy, operations, pharmacy and nursing leadership, reimbursement, payer contracting, technology, or commercial growth. As part of a broader CWH project team, you will help healthcare organizations or investors evaluate opportunities, address operational challenges, and implement solutions. Candidates should bring depth in one or more areas of the infusion market; expertise across every setting or function is not required. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will align with your area of expertise and the needs of each engagement and may include: Serve as the infusion subject matter expert on client engagements, contributing practical industry knowledge to assessments, stakeholder interviews, recommendations, and implementation activities. Support market assessments, competitive analyses, growth strategies, and commercial or operational due diligence. Evaluate business models, referral channels, market positioning, and opportunities for expansion. Assess infusion workflows, including referral intake, benefits verification, patient onboarding, scheduling, pharmacy and nursing coordination, and ongoing service delivery. Recommend improvements that strengthen access, efficiency, and the patient experience. Evaluate payer contracting, reimbursement, authorization, billing, and denial management processes. Help clients understand how coverage requirements and payment structures affect operational performance and financial results. Advise on staffing models, capacity planning, medication procurement, inventory management, and supply distribution, as relevant to your specialty. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and support sustainable growth. Support assessments of quality programs, patient safety processes, accreditation readiness, and applicable operational requirements, working alongside client clinical, pharmacy, compliance, and legal leaders. Assess technology and reporting capabilities supporting infusion operations. Help identify workflow gaps, system requirements, and opportunities to improve data visibility and performance measurement. Develop actionable client deliverables, including findings, implementation plans, operating procedures, performance dashboards, and executive presentations. Support execution and knowledge transfer within the agreed project scope. What You Bring At least 8 years of directly relevant experience in infusion services, with demonstrated leadership or specialized functional expertise. Substantial experience working within or advising infusion providers, infusion-related specialty pharmacies, health systems, or businesses serving the infusion market. Deep expertise in one or more relevant disciplines, such as operations, pharmacy services, nursing leadership, revenue cycle, payer contracting, finance, business development, technology, or market strategy. A demonstrated record of improving performance, resolving complex business challenges, building capabilities, or supporting successful growth initiatives. Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to distinguish evidence from assumptions and translate complex issues into clear recommendations for executives and project teams. The ability to independently deliver agreed work products while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary consulting team. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, professional credentials, and directly applicable experience. Preferred Experience Launching infusion locations or service lines, expanding into new markets, scaling multi-site operations, or supporting acquisition integration. Supporting healthcare consulting engagements, private equity due diligence, operational assessments, or value creation initiatives. Evaluating infusion business economics, including therapy and payer mix, drug acquisition costs, staffing productivity, reimbursement performance, and profitability. Implementing or optimizing infusion management, pharmacy, electronic health record, revenue cycle, or business intelligence systems. Building relationships with referring providers, health systems, health plans, pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, or other infusion market stakeholders. They are comfortable working with incomplete information, asking thoughtful questions, identifying risks, and developing recommendations that account for operational realities. Engagement Structure and Travel These are project-based contract consulting opportunities supporting CWH's advisor network. Assignments will be matched to client needs, your expertise, and your availability. Scope, duration, time commitment, and compensation will be established for each engagement.
