For more information, visitvigor.net. **Position Summary** This position provides Human Resources administration and consulting services to employees and managers within assigned areas of responsibility. The role supports the implementation and administration of HR policies, programs, and initiatives that enable effective workforce management and help achieve organizational objectives. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources. **SALARY RANGE:** $82,000 - 92,000 annually **Key Responsibilities** * Serve as the primary HR contact for salary and corporate hourly employees regarding human resources policies, procedures, and HR administration. * Provide guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations and employment law matters, including investigations of serious employee complaints under the direction of HR leadership. * Conduct and document workplace investigations, prepare summaries of findings, and provide recommendations to HR leadership as requested. * Escalate complex employee relations or legal matters to HR leadership as appropriate. * Assist leaders with the administration and documentation of corrective actions, promotions, and terminations in accordance with company policies. * Assist in the development of proactive approaches and programs to improve employee relations and support a positive workplace culture. * Collaborate with HR teams to support programs across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, leadership development, learning and development, employee engagement, and offboarding. Ensure processes are compliant, documented, and continuously improved. * Collaborate with Organizational Development (OD) to coach and mentor management and supervisory employees on workforce development skills and programs. * Coordinate and support the administration of training programs by designing learning materials, delivering training to targeted groups, and gathering participant feedback to assess program effectiveness in collaboration with the OD team. * Support managers with corrective actions, ensuring documentation aligns with company policy and is tracked for reporting purposes. * Maintain and create HR policies, forms, and documentation, supporting updates and revisions under HR leadership direction. * Support HR initiatives and projects across assigned departments, including supporting company-wide initiatives. * Partner with business leaders and Talent to assist in the creation and revision of job descriptions as organizational needs evolve. * Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and reflect industry best practices. * Coordinate employee orientation to ensure new hires receive an introduction to the organization, its culture, policies, and benefit programs. * Maintain complete and accurate HR records and files in support of HR programs and compliance requirements. * Prepare correspondence, reports, and proposals, ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and appropriate sensitivity for the intended audience. * Support additional HR functional areas and special projects as needed, including position management, affirmative action plan administration, policy implementation, benefits administration, leaves and ADA, and compensation administration. **Education** **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** * Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred * HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) are preferred but not required. **Experience** * Minimum two (2) years progressive HR experience, including experience in employee relations, HR administration, and HR program support. * Experience supporting managers with employee relations investigations and corrective actions. * Experience with onboarding, training support, and HRIS record-keeping. * Exposure to employment law compliance and HR policies. **Skills \& Competencies** * Strong knowledge of HR principles, policies, and federal/state employment laws. * Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to provide guidance to managers and employees diplomatically. * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR reporting tools. * Ability to collaborate across HR functions and with organizational leadership. * Analytical and problem-solving skills to support investigations, corrective actions, and HR reporting. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** Requires physical and mental stamina appropriate to the performance of assigned duties the following represent illustrations of requirements- * Sitting or standing for extended periods of time; primarily in an office setting but at times the work requires going into a heavy industrial setting. * The person may be required to walk upstairs and ladders and aboard ships to interact with employees. * Mental ability to evaluate, assess and manage complex problems and policy related matters, at times in emotionally charged situations. * They may be required to work nights or weekends. * Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reaching with hands and arms. * Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. * The employee may be required to push, pull, lift and/or carry boxes or containers. * There may be a need to travel and/or out of town, including air travel. * There may be a need to travel within or out of town, including air travel. * Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Work Environment** While in production areas the person will be exposed to all weather conditions, noise, fumes, dust and odors.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **CITIZENSHIP:** Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.
