Today, Kelly Science is searching for a GeoScientist and 3 Geophysicists to join our team at a Fortune 500 Oil and Gas Company in Spring, Texas for a long-term contract assignment.** **Geophysicist / Geoscientist -- Carbon Capture \& Storage** An international oil \& gas company is seeking experienced **Geophysicists/Geoscientists** to support carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) projects. The team is seeking experienced generalist geoscientists as well as a geomodeling-focused professional to support subsurface characterization, reservoir evaluation, and carbon storage development. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform integrated geological and geophysical interpretation using seismic, well logs, core, fluid, and regional geological data. * Conduct structural and stratigraphic analysis and develop 3D reservoir characterization. * Build and maintain geological frameworks to support reservoir and geomodeling activities. * Evaluate CO2 storage potential, capacity, and volumetrics. * Characterize faults, seals, confining zones, and other subsurface features that may impact carbon storage. * Perform uncertainty analysis and develop scenarios to support subsurface decision-making. * Support appraisal well planning and identify opportunities to reduce subsurface uncertainties. * Integrate data across geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir engineering disciplines. * Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations to subject-matter experts and project teams. * Work independently and deliver high-quality technical results with limited day-to-day supervision. **Required Qualifications** * 5 years of relevant geoscience experience; 10 years preferred. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Petroleum Geoscience, or a related field preferred. * Strong experience with subsurface interpretation, reservoir characterization, and integrated geoscience workflows. * Proficiency with Petrel, including seismic interpretation, well ties, log correlation, structural interpretation, and geological framework development. * Experience evaluating subsurface uncertainty, volumetrics, and geological risks. * Strong understanding of structural geology, stratigraphy, fault interpretation, and reservoir characterization. * Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to present technical findings and recommendations to experienced technical teams. **Additional Qualifications -- Geomodeling** * Experience developing 3D geological/reservoir models. * Experience building structural frameworks and performing property population. * Knowledge of property population techniques, including variograms and modeling algorithms. * Experience with scenario-based modeling and uncertainty analysis. * Strong ability to integrate stratigraphy, structure, petrophysics, and geophysical interpretation. **Position Details** * Location: Spring, TX -- primarily onsite with some remote flexibility. * Schedule: Monday--Friday, approximately 8:00 AM--4:00/5:00 PM. * Contract: Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension. * Travel: Generally limited; occasional travel, including Canada, may be required for select positions.
