Mission Drilling Company, based out of Frenchtown, Montana, is seeking a dependable Core Drill Helper to support drilling operations throughout the United States, primarily in Alaska and the western states. Employees are flown to project locations and typically work a **20-days-on, 10-days-off rotation** , with shifts of up to **14 hours per day, day \& night.** **Responsibilities** * Safely operate diamond core drilling equipment in mineral exploration environments. * Perform drilling operations using HQ and PQ core drilling systems. * Maintain efficient drilling production while ensuring quality core recovery. * Direct and supervise drill helpers during daily operations. * Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Monitor drilling parameters, ground conditions, and equipment performance. * Properly handle drilling rods, core barrels, tooling, and associated equipment. * Complete accurate daily drilling reports and equipment inspections. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Follow company safety policies, client requirements, and applicable MSHA regulations. * Communicate effectively with supervisors, geologists, and other crew members. **Qualifications** * Previous diamond core drilling experience required. * Experience operating track-mounted core drilling equipment preferred. * Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. * Experience drilling angled and vertical exploration holes. * Ability to work independently and lead a drilling crew. * Understanding of drilling fluids, downhole tooling, and core recovery techniques. * Ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote locations and varying weather conditions. * Valid driver's license. * Well versed in orientated core systems * Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
