SkyBridge Luxury Associates has partnered with a new, upscale, wine-forward dining destination in Portland, OR, to identify a **Floor Manager** ready to lead both the **dining room and bar program** with equal confidence and craft. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who moves through a room with presence, **speaks wine fluently** , and knows how to bring out the best in a front-of-house team. The Floor Manager will be responsible for **day-to-day guest experience** , **bar program development**, and the kind of service culture that keeps guests coming back. The ideal candidate is warm but **operationally sharp** , deeply knowledgeable about **wine and spirits**, and comfortable owning a room from open to close. **Key Responsibilities** **Floor \& Service Operations** * Lead daily **front-of-house operations**, maintaining service standards across every shift * Manage and develop the **FOH team** through coaching, training, and real-time feedback * Ensure a seamless, **elevated guest experience** from arrival through farewell * Handle operational challenges with composure and sound judgment **Bar Program Leadership** * Lead and evolve the **bar program** , with a strong emphasis on **wine curation and education** * Develop staff **product knowledge** and drive confident, genuine tableside recommendations * Collaborate with ownership and culinary leadership on **menu development** and seasonal updates **Guest Experience** * Build genuine relationships with **repeat guests** and cultivate a loyal local following * Maintain a **floor presence** that communicates care, attention, and hospitality * Monitor guest feedback and use it to sharpen service delivery over time **Qualifications** * 2 years of **restaurant management experience**, ideally in a wine-forward or chef-driven concept * Deep **product knowledge in wine**, with the ability to educate both staff and guests * Proven ability to **lead a team** and hold service standards without micromanaging * Strong communication skills and a natural sense of hospitality **Key Attributes** * Confident **floor presence** with genuine warmth * **Wine-passionate** and intellectually curious about product * Operationally dependable and calm under pressure * A leader who **develops people**, not just directs them
