Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Financial Analyst FP\&A. **Company Overview:** * Our client is a large, well established U.S. refining and energy supply organization with multiple refineries, terminals, pipelines, and related infrastructure assets across the United States * Headquartered in Houston, TX, the company operates a significant crude refining footprint and employs several thousand professionals across refining, supply and trading, commercial, and corporate functions * The organization is known for its strong operational discipline, long term stability, and commitment to values such as safety, integrity, accountability, and collaboration * The company continues to invest in modern technology platforms, including enterprise ETRM systems, to enhance data driven decision making, risk management, and financial analytics across the business **Role Summary:** * Title: Financial Analyst FP\&A * Reports to: FP\&A Leadership (Manager/Director) * Team Involvement: Works cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Supply \& Trading, Risk, and Business Unit leadership; frequent collaboration with operations and data/reporting teams **Key Responsibilities:** * Support financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling to drive business performance and profitability * Perform detailed financial analysis of income statements and general ledger activity, including variance analysis against forecast and prior periods * Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic and tactical decision-making * Assist in the preparation and delivery of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages for senior leadership * Track business performance against plan, analyze market conditions and operational drivers, and update forecasts accordingly * Build and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, business analytics, and performance tracking * Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide actionable recommendations * Enhance reporting capabilities and performance management tools using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms * Collaborate across business units to improve financial visibility, consistency, and alignment with strategic objectives * Support cross-functional FP\&A initiatives, including exposure to Supply \& Trading finance processes and best practices * Participate in special projects focused on process improvement, reporting enhancements, and business analytics development **Ideal Candidate Profile:** * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required * 2--5 years of experience in FP\&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and provide business insights * Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis * Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment * Strong communication skills with ability to present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders * Proficiency in Excel required; experience with Power BI, Power Platform, or similar tools preferred * Exposure to RightAngle or similar systems is a plus * Self-starter with curiosity to understand the broader business and identify opportunities for improvement **Compensation \& Benefits:** * Target base compensation range: $80K--$100K * 10% annual performance incentive bonus * Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and standard corporate benefits * Work Environment: High-visibility role within FP\&A supporting key business decisions and leadership initiatives **Selling Points:** * Strong entry into a highly visible FP\&A team with direct exposure to senior leadership * Opportunity to influence business decisions through financial analysis and modeling * Broad cross-functional exposure across finance, operations, and commercial teams * Hands-on experience with forecasting, reporting, and performance analytics in a dynamic environment * Opportunity to develop advanced modeling and data visualization skills * Ideal for an early-career finance professional seeking growth, visibility, and long-term career progression within FP\&A **SE:**510793805
