Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper to support our Financial Controller and finance team with day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. **What You'll Do:** * Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system * Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries * Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes * Perform bank and credit card reconciliations * Maintain organized financial records and documentation * Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries * Accounts Payable \& Vendor Management * Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding * Maintain and update vendor records * Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, discrepancies, and payment status * Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues * Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies * Monitor and track company expenses for accuracy and compliance * Reconcile expense-related accounts * Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities * Assist with budgeting and forecasting support tasks * Assist with financial matters for internal departments * Prepare reports for management as needed * Support audits by providing requested documentation * Perform other ad hoc finance and administrative duties **What You'll Bring:** * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) * 1--3 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience preferred * Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus) * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) * Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to handle confidential information with integrity * Detail-oriented * Strong organizational skills * Solid understanding of accounting principles * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Experience with ERP/accounting systems **Benefits Include:** * Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, plus 401(k) * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Hybrid schedule: Monday--Thursday on-site at our Arts District HQ, Fridays remote * Employee discount * $85,000-90,000
