**Compensation** $50.00 -- $55.00 per hour 40--50 hours per week Local Candidates **Employment Type** Full-Time \| W-2 Position **6-Month Project Assignment \| Immediate Start potential extension** **Position Overview** SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to support a hyperscale data center construction project in San Jose, California. This is a **6-month assignment** with an **immediate start** , supporting a high-profile project with a leading General Contractor. **Local candidates are strongly preferred.** The EHS Manager will oversee daily safety operations, working closely with project leadership and trade partners to ensure all activities are compliant with OSHA standards, client requirements, and site-specific safety plans. This role is ideal for a safety professional ready to step in quickly and contribute to a fast-paced, large-scale data center project. **Key Responsibilities** * Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all on-site construction activities * Conduct documented daily EHS inspections, audits, and safety observations * Monitor trade partner activities to ensure adherence to approved safety plans and procedures * Participate in and review Daily Hazard Analyses (DHAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) * Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions * Support high-risk operations including cranes, rigging, fall protection, electrical work, and LOTO * Deliver site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training as needed * Track safety metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives * Collaborate with project leadership to promote an injury-free workplace and strong safety culture **Minimum Qualifications** * 5+ years of construction EHS experience (data center or mission-critical experience preferred) * Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards * Experience working with multiple subcontractors and trade partners on active job sites * OSHA 30 * OSHA 510 * OSHA 500 * BCSP certification such as CHST strongly preferred * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems
