Requirements - ----------- ### Must have: ### - Strong experience with the ESP32 ecosystem utilizing C/C++, including the Arduino Framework and ESP-IDF - Solid understanding of board-level communication protocols such as I2C, I2S, UART, and SPI - Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing concepts - Experience integrating APIs and collaborating with IoT platforms - Experience integrating cellular modems into embedded systems (preferred) - Background in the design of low-power, battery-operated devices (preferred) - Familiarity with signal conditioning and digital signal processing principles (preferred) - Experience in generating, managing, and deploying signed and encrypted firmware packages (preferred) - Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular, Svelte, and React (nice to have) - Understanding of database architectures (nice to have) - Experience designing or supporting weather-resistant outdoor equipment (nice to have) - Knowledge of solar-powered system design (nice to have) Responsibilities: - ---------------- - Architect, develop, and maintain secure, real-time, low-power embedded software solutions - Design and support embedded RTOS applications along with lightweight web-based user interfaces - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and address customer software challenges - Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of embedded software architecture and deployment processes - --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company: - ------- We are a privately held organization located in Kennesaw, GA, with a close-knit team of approximately 20 employees. We offer a Contract-to-Hire opportunity for the role of Embedded Software Developer, where you will join a small but highly collaborative engineering team. Our work environment is primarily onsite, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation ranges from $62.50 to $72.12 per hour, which is equivalent to an annual salary of $130,000 to $150,000.
