**Data Governance Specialist** 📍 San Diego, CA 💲 $90,000--$110,000 + Benefits 🕒 Full-Time 🏢 BioPhase BioPhase is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives for a biotechnology company in San Diego. This role will partner cross-functionally with IT, operations, and business teams to help maintain accurate, secure, and accessible enterprise data. Strong preference for candidates who are comfortable working onsite in San Diego. **Responsibilities:** * Support and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policies, and processes * Help oversee data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle activities * Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data consistency and accessibility * Assist with data lineage, stewardship, compliance, and reporting initiatives * Support AI and large language model governance and documentation activities * Help identify and escalate data quality or compliance issues as needed **Qualifications:** * 3--5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or related fields * Experience with SQL, data modeling, and cloud or enterprise data environments preferred * Strong communication and organizational skills * Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field preferred **Additional Details:** * Full-time opportunity * Strong preference for onsite candidates in San Diego * Competitive benefits package included * Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
