**Position Overview** Our European banking client is hiring a Graduate Trainee to support their Financial Crime Compliance operations. This opportunity is ideal for recent college graduates interested in compliance, banking operations, investigations, or financial crime prevention. The individual will assist with the review and analysis of automated transaction monitoring alerts, conduct basic investigative research, document findings, and escalate matters when appropriate in accordance with internal policies and procedures. This role offers valuable exposure to financial crime compliance and banking operations within a global financial institution. Candidates will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced compliance professionals in a collaborative environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and analyze automated alerts generated through transaction monitoring systems. * Conduct research on customers, accounts, transactions, and related parties to identify potential risks or unusual activity. * Document investigative findings clearly and accurately within internal case management systems. * Escalate alerts requiring additional review or investigation to senior team members. * Assist with gathering supporting documentation and maintaining accurate records. * Collaborate with compliance and investigative teams to support daily operations. * Ensure work is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures. * Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree required * Internship experience preferred, ideally within banking, compliance, legal, operations, or financial services environments. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general case management or research tools preferred. * Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or similar are a plus.
