Requirements - ----------- ### Must have: ### - We require a High School Diploma, GED, Home School Certification, or an international equivalent, along with 5 years of service, maintenance, or similar experience in an industrial setting. - We need strong knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, piping, welding specifications, and civil engineering notations. - We expect expert-level understanding of water treatment systems and technologies, including Reverse Osmosis, Ion Exchange, and thermal systems. - We look for proven experience in equipment startup, commissioning, and process optimization. - We require solid water treatment chemistry knowledge and the ability to apply engineering principles to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. - We need advanced technical capability with analytical instruments, calibrated tools, hand tools, and safe handling of chemically aggressive fluids such as acids and bases. - We require working knowledge of electrical equipment, control systems, and safety procedures. - We require a valid passport and drivers license, plus the ability to travel extensively across North America and internationally. - Preferred: We value a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a college diploma from an accredited institution. - Preferred: We value experience in commissioning, construction, or field services. - Preferred: We value mechanical and hands-on experience with water treatment equipment such as pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, and pneumatic systems. - Preferred: We value electrical and hands-on experience with electrical panels and water treatment equipment. - Preferred: We value operating experience with evaporators, crystallizers, RO systems, micro-filtration, clarification, and conventional filtration. - Preferred: We value Lock-Out/Tag-Out training. - Preferred: We value the ability to plan multiple priorities and focus on the most critical tasks. - We need strong independence and the ability to work remotely with cross-functional project teams while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision. - We need excellent customer relationship management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to varied audiences. - We require computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, network operations, and database management for documentation and reporting. - We need outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise technical reports and deliver presentations. - We require strong prioritization and multitasking skills to manage multiple service projects and administrative duties at once. - We value sound business judgment, risk-reward analysis, and the ability to contribute within commercial team environments. - We need strong mathematical ability and a customer-focused mindset. - We value adaptability and the ability to respond quickly to new problems, clients, and situations. Responsibilities: - ---------------- - We participate in model reviews, engineering design meetings, and safety-in-design reviews to support accessibility, maintainability, and operability of process equipment. - We conduct control system factory acceptance tests with clients and client representatives. - We define problems, gather data, verify facts, and draw conclusions to improve operations and assess design viability. - We apply mathematics to water treatment chemistry, geometry, chemistry formulas, test reliability, budget analysis, and T\&M contract cost tracking. - We act as the construction liaison between design engineering and construction teams during water treatment plant erection. - We identify and correct alignment and plumb adjustment issues during installation. - We manage outside vendors and suppliers to ensure services and materials meet project specifications and performance expectations. - We maintain a strong safety focus so all work aligns with our technical standards and safety requirements. - We develop and carry out commissioning schedules and performance plans for water treatment plants. - We commission process equipment and control systems to ensure they perform to specification. - We perform PLC/HMI tasks, including IO checkout, networking, program upload/download, troubleshooting, and basic logic writing. - We provide technical guidance to customer representatives on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance. - We develop standard operating procedures and log sheets to track and document equipment performance. - We create and deliver classroom and hands-on training for operating and maintaining process equipment. - We perform post-sale services such as site inspections, equipment inspections, and operator training. - We prepare timely, accurate technical reports for customer records and future reference. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company: - ------- We are Veolia Group, a global leader in environmental services with nearly 218,000 employees across five continents.
