Requirements - ----------- ### Must have: ### - We are looking for a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a similar field, or at least 2 years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience - We need flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays - We require hands-on experience with PLC-based controls design, development, implementation, and support - We value a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or at least 2 years of experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming in Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs - Experience with material handling, throughput, and capacity planning is preferred - Familiarity with industrial control systems, including both hardware and software, is preferred Responsibilities: - ---------------- - We will count on you to serve as the on-site specialist for the automation systems that keep operations running - We will ask you to maintain, support, and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Profibus - We will rely on you to work with motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems - We will expect you to monitor MHE performance metrics and partner with maintenance and operations teams to resolve system issues and analyze performance across the site - We will need you to provide first-line escalation support for site technicians, both in person and remotely - We will have you conduct and review building system assessments to improve material handling system performance - We will expect you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment systems and support innovative improvement projects - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Company: - ------- We are Amazon Operations, where speed, accuracy, and exceptional service are central to everything we do.
