Job Title: Assistant Project Manager **Job Description** The Assistant Project Manager will oversee assigned project activities in alignment with project contract documents, budgets, schedules, quality control, and company objectives. This role involves supporting jobsite security, quality control, and safety programs with the assistance of the Superintendent, Safety, and QC departments. Additionally, the position requires the accurate and timely handling of project documentation and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure projects meet deadlines. **Responsibilities** * Support accurate and timely project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, schedule updates, time records, supplemental work orders, change order pricing, and general project correspondence. * Obtain and review contract and bid documents to understand project scope for turnover. * Assist in scheduling processes, including collaboration with stakeholders and integration of man loading, milestone, and contract schedules. * Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure timely project completion. * Compile and track performance standards for work performed on assigned projects. * Participate in on-site observations during construction to monitor compliance with safety, quality control, sustainability measures, and overall project status. * Adhere to company uniform project management procedures and cost accounting standards. * Collaborate with Project Controls on budget development. * Assist in managing cash flow components of assigned projects, including customer pay applications, subcontractor/consultant invoicing, and payments. * Coordinate job start and project closeout processes. * Manage material and equipment procurement activities. * Collaborate with field personnel to gather information for pricing changes in work. * Identify and manage potential project risks and issues, including executing recovery action plans. * Enforce compliance with laws, regulations, safety standards/codes, and contracts, reporting variances to the Project Manager. **Essential Skills** * 1-3 years of related experience in the electrical industry. * Familiarity with electrical installation, contract documents, project estimates, and construction specifications. * Knowledge of project financial management, including billing and cash flow projections. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word). * Experience with ACCUBID and/or related estimating software systems. **Additional Skills \& Qualifications** * Pursuing a degree in engineering or construction management preferred. * Understanding of basic labor relations, including union contract requirements. * Familiarity with conceptual budgeting and estimating experience. * Knowledge of electrical design, estimation, AutoCAD, and project management/document control software. Job Type \& Location This is a Permanent position based out of Martinez, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
