**AI Engineer (client facing)** **NYC (open to SF) / $180k-$280k early stage equity** My client is hiring an AI Engineer to work directly with customers on high-impact AI problems. You will design, build, and deploy production software that drives real business outcomes, working hands-on with customer data and iterating quickly based on real-world feedback with enterprise clients. This role is well suited to engineers from client-facing environments. My client has seen strong success hiring former data scientists and engineers from firms such as BCG, BCG X, McKinsey \& Company, QuantumBlack, Bain \& Company, Palantir, and similar applied AI or consulting-led organizations. **What My Client Is Looking For:** * Strong customer focus and comfort operating in ambiguous environments * Proficiency in Python and or TypeScript in production systems * Experience deploying data-heavy or AI-enabled applications * Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders * Willingness to travel occasionally, typically up to 20 percent **Nice to Have:** * Forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering experience * Production experience with ML, LLMs, or agentic AI systems * Frontend experience, ideally React
